Global Atlas for Environmental Justice

The EJ Atlas collects stories of communities struggling for environmental justice from around the world. It also attempts to serve as a virtual space for those working on EJ issues to get information, find other groups working on related issues, and increase the visibility of environmental conflicts. The database has a biodiversity conservation category.


It provides information on globally protected species. Developed by UNEP-WCMC and the CITES Secretariat, it is designed to assist Parties with implementing the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) and other multilateral environmental agreements.
